It's possible to update a Samsung monitor's firmware remotely using Menuboard Manager's Remote Management Console. To update firmware, follow the procedure below.
- Go to Console
- Search for a monitor to update
- Click "Remote Management"
- In the Remote Management Console, click "Update Firmware"
- Wait for firmware to update.
Firmware files are in excess of 1GB in file size so it may take awhile for them to download (approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on your internet connection).
Once the firmware is downloaded, the monitor will begin the update process, which takes about 1 minute. Do not power the monitor off during the update process.
To see the monitor's firmware version, you can refresh the Monitoring page, perform a diagnostic dump, or on-site, you can press the INFO button on the Samsung remote to see the monitor's firmware version.
Firmware can also be updated via USB. To update via USB, follow the USB firmware update instructions.
